YG Acoustics Vesper 3
YG Acoustics has introduced the Vesper 3, a new three-way floorstanding loudspeaker in its Reference Series. Positioned between the Carmel 3 and Vantage 3, the Vesper 3 combines a 26mm tweeter, an 18.5cm midrange driver and a 22cm woofer in a three-way configuration.
YG says the model was developed over approximately three years and incorporates technical work carried out during the development of its flagship Titan loudspeaker.
A New Three-Way Model in the Reference Series
The Vesper 3 joins the Reference Series between the Carmel 3 and Vantage 3. Unlike the two-way Carmel 3, the Vesper 3 uses dedicated midrange and bass drivers in a three-way architecture.
Its driver complement consists of a 26mm YG Lattice hybrid tweeter, an 18.5cm aluminum-cone midrange driver and a 22cm aluminum-cone woofer. According to YG, the midrange and woofer use newly developed motor systems together with the company’s proprietary aluminum-cone technology.
Third-Generation Ultracoherent Crossover
The Vesper 3 uses YG Acoustics’ third-generation Ultracoherent crossover network. The company states that this design incorporates research and measurement work carried out during development of the Titan.
Crossover frequencies are specified at 92Hz and 1.71kHz. The 22cm woofer handles the low-frequency range, the 18.5cm driver covers the midrange, and the 26mm tweeter reproduces the high frequencies.
Aerospace-Grade Aluminum Enclosure
As with other models in YG Acoustics’ Reference Series, the Vesper 3 uses an enclosure based on aerospace-grade aluminum. Cabinet components are produced using precision CNC machining, a construction method YG uses to achieve structural rigidity and control enclosure resonance.
YG Acoustics operates engineering and manufacturing facilities in Denver, Colorado, and Cambridge, UK, and the Vesper 3 is produced within this development and manufacturing structure.
30Hz to 40kHz Frequency Range
The Vesper 3 has a specified usable frequency range of 30Hz to 40kHz and a sensitivity of 88dB. Nominal impedance is 4 ohms, with a minimum impedance of 2.8 ohms.
The loudspeaker measures 1,070mm high, 270mm wide and 400mm deep, with a weight of 71kg per speaker.
Standard finishes are Silver and Black.
Positioned Between Carmel 3 and Vantage 3
The Vesper 3 adds a new step to YG Acoustics’ Reference Series lineup. In the company’s current range, it sits above the Carmel 3 and below the Vantage 3, combining a three-way configuration with dimensions smaller than those of the Vantage 3.
YG also highlights the use of technology developed during the Titan program as one of the key elements of the new model.
Availability
The YG Acoustics Vesper 3 is scheduled to become available through authorized dealers worldwide from October 2026.
