AudioSolutions Overture G4 Brings Figaro Technology to Fourth-Generation Floorstanding Speakers

Lithuanian high-end loudspeaker manufacturer AudioSolutions has introduced the fourth-generation Overture G4 series, incorporating technologies derived from its higher-end Figaro Mk2 and Virtuoso ranges. Replacing the previous O3xx series, the new lineup features extensively redesigned cabinets, upgraded high-frequency drivers, and revised crossover networks. The range consists of two three-way floorstanding models, the Overture S G4 and Overture M G4.

Founded in 2011, AudioSolutions has developed its loudspeaker designs under the direction of founder and chief engineer Gediminas Gaidelis. The Overture G4 represents a significant evolution of the company’s more accessible high-end range, bringing its design philosophy and construction techniques closer to those of its flagship models.

Box-in-Box Cabinet Construction Derived from Figaro

One of the most substantial improvements in the Overture G4 series is its cabinet architecture. AudioSolutions has adopted the Box-in-Box construction used in its Figaro Mk2 and Virtuoso ranges, replacing the partially double-layered design of the previous generation with a more comprehensive dual-shell structure.

The cabinet consists of a 10mm inner shell and a 22mm outer shell, separated by a specially developed damping material designed to absorb unwanted vibrational energy. An additional 22mm internal matrix bracing system increases structural rigidity while helping to control internal standing waves.

According to AudioSolutions, this multilayer construction minimizes cabinet resonance and unwanted vibration, allowing the drivers to operate with greater precision. The exterior proportions have also been revised to more closely resemble the Figaro series, with a redesigned front baffle intended to reduce diffraction effects.

    Figaro-Derived Tweeter with Mini-Horn Waveguide

The high-frequency section features a new 19mm silk-dome tweeter derived from the Figaro Mk2 series. It is paired with AudioSolutions’ proprietary Mini-Horn waveguide, which controls acoustic loading and helps improve the driver’s operating characteristics.

The manufacturer states that the Mini-Horn design reduces unnecessary diaphragm movement and distortion at higher playback levels while improving transient response, fine detail retrieval, and spatial presentation.

The crossover network has also been completely redesigned to accommodate the new tweeter. In particular, AudioSolutions has moved the midrange-to-tweeter crossover frequency higher to reduce the influence of driver transitions in the perceptually sensitive 1–1.5kHz region. Both models employ crossover points at 500Hz and 4kHz.

A 152mm paper-cone driver handles the midrange, while the bass section uses two woofers of different sizes depending on the model. The S G4 employs dual 152mm woofers, whereas the larger M G4 uses dual 183mm units.

    Overture S G4 and M G4: Two Three-Way Floorstanding Designs

Both models share a three-way configuration comprising a single tweeter, one dedicated midrange driver, and two woofers. While their fundamental acoustic architecture is similar, they differ in cabinet dimensions, bass driver size, and low-frequency extension.

The more compact Overture S G4 stands 1,030mm tall and employs two 152mm woofers. Its specified in-room frequency response extends from 37Hz to 25kHz. The larger Overture M G4 features a 1,138mm cabinet and two 183mm woofers, extending the specified low-frequency response to 33Hz.

Sensitivity is rated at 90.5dB for the S G4 and 91dB for the M G4, while both models have a nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Rated power handling is 120W and 160W, respectively. Although the sensitivity figures suggest reasonable amplifier compatibility, the 4-ohm impedance means that stable current delivery remains an important consideration when selecting amplification.

Customizable Finishes with an Online 3D Configurator

The Overture G4 series supports AudioSolutions’ online 3D product configurator, allowing customers to explore different combinations of cabinet finishes, colors, and decorative panels before placing an order.

Standard finishes include Gloss White and Gloss Dark Grey, with additional customization options available at extra cost. The speakers also incorporate adjustable spikes with integrated outriggers, while WBT NextGen binding posts are offered as an optional upgrade.

AudioSolutions aims to bring the tonal balance and overall sonic character of its higher-end loudspeakers to a more accessible price category. The company describes the new Overture G4 models as approaching the performance level of the earlier Figaro Mk1 range, while the current Figaro Mk2 and Virtuoso series remain positioned above them in the lineup.
